Nicole‘s twin boys have arrived!
I was able to do a quick hospital visit yesterday afternoon (they were born in the am); here are a few highlights.

At the beginning of each school year, I have these great schedule expectations!
They go something like this – I will not over-commit myself; I will be purposeful each day to reduce the seemingly constant rushing from one thing to the next; and I will count my blessings with a thankful heart (translated – no whining, grumbling or complaining!).
Today is school day #6. Hmmmm………..well, there’s always tomorrow!
Something I am so thankful for this school year (hectic though it is) is time with my youngest.
He is attending an afternoon kindergarten which means we have mornings together. We’ve already established a routine of sorts, mostly dictated by him, as I really just want to enjoy time with him doing what he enjoys doing.
This is often easier said then done because I do see the very high pile of items that need my attention – papers and clothes – as well as the endless dirt bunnies and dishes. I did “relocate” CandyLand (bad mom!) as I can only handle about 2 games a week.
My youngest and I take his older brother to school first thing in the morning. We then come back home and head out to the trampoline. My youngest loves the trampoline and over the summer he learned how to do flips.

Since summer vacation has officially ended, my boys and I were talking last night about things we enjoyed this summer.
Both boys loved Vacation Bible School this year! I realized as they were talking that I never posted about VBS.
The theme was Son Harvest County Fair; many kids came wearing overalls, bandannas, cowboy hats, boots, etc.

I’ve always liked this bay on the south end of the island.
The tide was high and the cloud cover was fairly thick this particular day, but I wanted the photo to be even more moody, so I underexposed a bit.
