My boys and I had something special to celebrate on Monday, so with the day as busy as it was, I went to the local grocery store and bought 2 cupcakes.

Fun with friends

Over the weekend our good friends from Oregon came up for a visit. Although we only live 2 1/2 hours from one another, our kids don’t see each other much.

They all had a great time together!

This picture made me laugh, especially the expression on my youngest (he’s on the far right). He seems pretty smug, linking arms with such a cute girl!

:-)

To the Oregon crew – thanks for spending the day with us!

Wanted…a cat

not by me, but by my boys.

I do like cats, but I think refereeing the two dogs and a cat might be a tad difficult.

A cat has visited us a few mornings this week and my youngest is enamored.

Time change

November 4th, 2008  |  Published in Everyday Life  |  2 Comments

I so look forward to the fall daylight savings adjustment! That extra hour of sleep? I completely missed it this year!!

We had a dinner party Saturday night, and with all the goings-on I forgot to set the clocks back. My boys got up at their usual time, so I did too. All four of us were ready to leave for church at 8:30 am when I happened to look at my cell phone and it read 7:30am. Arrggh!

I also forgot about the boys’ typical week-long adjustment to the time change! I am usually up at 6am with about a half-hour to an hour to myself before the boys are up. The following pictures were taken at 5:45am yesterday morning.
