My boys are taking after me in regards to beach exploration and I love it!

:-)

Here’s my youngest in the cold water looking for crabs.

At the beach lately, all my boys are about is crabs. I know I’ve posted about them (crabs) before, but since they often dominate our conversations, here is more.

Caught!

Obviously this large sea star liked the crab bait too.

It took quite an effort to disentangle it from the crab pot.

On guard! Here is some defensive posturing by a red rock crab.

The business end of a Dungeness crab (good to eat too!).

The next few shots focus on the design and color of the Dungeness. I love the purple and orange.

Here are the beachcombers, heading back down the beach after finding many crabs, sea stars, and countless other sea finds.

Wonderful pictures! Colby and I loved looking at them! It is so neat to see your beach and sea life, very different than ours down here in CA!
