Fun with friends

I’ve always liked this bay on the south end of the island.
The tide was high and the cloud cover was fairly thick this particular day, but I wanted the photo to be even more moody, so I underexposed a bit.
The sun did not show itself at any point during the day, but that never seems to stop my boys from getting in the water.
I’ve learned by now to never go anywhere without towels and multiple changes of clothes.
Each of the kids created crab “families” that they then cared for by providing food and houses (Tupperware, seaweed, rocks, driftwood, etc.). I think these may be the “mommies” that they are proudly showing.
This is the beach where my friend and her family were camping – beautiful even in stormy weather.
