Investigators

My boys and I were walking on the beach as science investigators, trying to look closely at everything, when we saw these tiny little tracks in the sand.
We could see individual “footprints” but also some lines and patterns.
Together we made a few different hypotheses;
then we followed the tracks. This is what we found.

A very small Dungeness crab burying itself in the sand…so glad we were investigators, otherwise we would have walked right past this very small, but very fun find!
