Motor skills

Like many boys, my two have no problem with large (gross) motor skills.
They love running, climbing, jumping, swinging, etc.
Small (fine) motor skills have proved a little more difficult – writing, tying shoe-laces, using scissors, etc.
A few days ago, my eldest wanted to make more gingerbread ornaments.
Some things just take lots of practice!
XBox 360 (this is relevant to the topic at hand, I promise).
Due to the influence of one who will rename nameless, my husband purchased one (we currently have 2). It didn’t take long before he purchased the Lego Star Wars game (my two boys love Legos and Star Wars). My husband did make up a pretty good list of reasons why this purchase for the boys was a good thing. Can you guess what was in the top 5?
You guessed it – fine motor skill improvement.
A quick-thinker, that husband of mine!
Holiday update -
I am currently in the midst of finishing up Christmas photo orders, and I’m also finally updating my website with photos from recent sessions. I will be taking next week off to finish the above, and to get ready for a family vacation, and to maybe slow down enough to enjoy a bit of the season!
I will be returning e-mails next week, but will not be blogging. I am not sure what my internet access will be like come vacation, so plan to hear from me again in the new year.
Have a very Merry Christmas!
This is from my youngest (I think I see a slight resemblance between Mary and Princess Leia).
