Reflections

The 2007-2008 school year is at its end, and I’ve been thinking a little bit about my days this past year. The days have not been easy (lots of car time and a bit of chaos).
I added two girls to my morning routine. How many ways can you seat and re-seat 2 girls and 2 boys to encourage kindness and generosity and reduce bickering and teasing?!
Here is a typical walk from the car to the school with my 4.
Three days a week, I’ve added one girl to my afternoon routine. We spend quite a bit of time waiting together (letting the boys run off some steam after school).
We make our way to the car with the trying not to run but really wanting to be first outright running in the parking lot (who’s in charge of those kids?!!).
Oh, one of the many differences between girls and boys. They see the camera…the girl’s first instinct is to sweetly smile, and the boys’? to make the silliest face possible.
Summer will be good…but I think I might miss my little additions.
