Finally

Our tadpole arrived in the mail on Friday.

It came in such a small package.

I should say “he” came in a small package.  We already have had the sex discussion (no, not that one), but the male versus female one.  My eldest asked if the tadpole would be a boy.  Having already read the info, I said that it was difficult to tell with tadpoles and that we could get either a male or a female.  His response?  I wrote it down – It has to be a boy.  If it’s a girl, I’m not really going to go near it or anything.

The tadpole came in a small package because he is so small!

We had the de-chlorinated water already waiting in the habitat, so we simply placed the tube in the water for about 30 minutes to let him acclimate to the water temperature.

We then welcomed him into his new home.

A new pet – I’ll keep you posted!

That is so cool! Kaelyn keeps asking me if we can get a caterpiller and watch it turn into a butterfly so we might be following in your family’s footsteps. :)

How cute…I am sure this will be a time absorbing project. I bet you two have already been bombarded with questions already, you better read up on frog biology.

    Love you!
