The bus arrived a few minutes early. I’m glad I was there.
My eldest hopped off the bus with all the other campers and headed to the check-out area. His brother greeted him first. They walked together to gather his gear and caught-up a bit on the way.
How I missed seeing his face!
We celebrated his return over dinner. The brothers quickly got into a few games of tic tac toe.
They had a lot to tell each other (especially my youngest who wanted to be sure his brother knew that he did lots of cool things this week too).
We all asked the camper questions and got lots of insight into his time away (almost like we were there…almost). He told us stories about his cabin and cabin mates, swimming, boating, being launched off the blob(!), launching other people off the blob, good food, games, bug bites, shooting bug spray into a fan to evenly cover the room, crafts, mail, etc.
He had a great time.
I’m so happy for him. And I’m happy for me that I have 365 days with him before he does this again.
Have a great weekend!

Small world! I went to Camp McCullough as a child and so did my Mom. My grandparents used to help cook too.
