It lurks downstairs

Angus, our oldest dog, no longer willingly descends the basement stairs.
Our other dog, Mac, willingly follows us anywhere just in case there is food. He realizes his mistake only when he is being hoisted over the edge of the utility sink; he then madly tries to escape.
Over the weekend, I had reached my threshold in regards to dog aroma. The dogs were no longer welcome under my office desk (a favorite lounging spot), and I began to frantically go through junk drawers looking for aromatic sprays and plug-ins to help mask the smell emanating from their bedroom.
Angus was first.
Mac so easily followed my boys down the stairs, for the boys are well known for dropping (often giving) snacks away. He really fought in mid-air over the sink and once in the sink he insisted on his front paws being over the rim.
Scotties have such coarse fur that it takes a bit of time getting it all wet, then shampooed, and then thoroughly rinsed.
Kisses (and lots of them!) are Mac’s love language. During a bath, he withholds any and all kisses from the perpetrator(s), and often gives looks like these.
When the towels are grabbed, both dogs become very animated, knowing that the end is near. Here you see that Mac’s looking much happier, although he still withholds all kisses until safely out of the basement.
I’ve mentioned my blog-stalking tendencies before. A canine photographer whose blog I love stalking is Erin Vey. Check out her work and meet Gracie.
Have a Monday!
