Mono

yep, that’s what my 8-year old has.
The good news is that he is already 6 days into it and is no longer contagious. He is not needing quite as much motrin and he slept ALL night last night.
How do I know he’s really on the mend??
He’s now laughing when watching Looney Tunes.
He said food looked good when we were at the store this morning (he’s lost 5 pounds this week).
He’s talking fishing again.
Per his request, here are a few photos from our last 2 fishing trips.
This trip was in the early evening hours and the light was nice.
We were fishing on a river that flows beside some interesting industrial buildings.
So, even when the fish weren’t biting I was happily occupied.
Even the reflections off these buildings were great.
Our second river trip was on a rainy afternoon. The fishing was much better though.
Both boys hooked (and brought in) fish! Until they hooked their first one, they didn’t realize how big the pull was on the other side of that rod! They had a tough time keeping their rod tips out of the water!
‘Til next time!

I’m so sorry he has mono! But I’m glad to hear that he is on the mend. Hopefully this is the extent of his illnesses for the year.
