Six and a half

My youngest was telling me a story.

I was trying to listen intently as the plot was a bit complicated, but I had a lot more fun just watching him.

Lucky for me, I did not have to take a comprehension exam at the completion of his story – I would have failed.

And since my youngest and I are the ones most excited about “Super Tadpole” here are a few photos showing S.T.’s new little legs.

I know they are still small, but they are there!  Can you see them?

Here’s a photo of a page from one of our favorite tadpole books (How a Tadpole Grows into a Frog by David Stewart).  In this picture, you can see where the small back legs are located.

S.T.’s behavior has changed as well…he’s often up on the lily pad (as in the photo below) and sometimes he seems to be trying to launch himself out of the water altogether.  Even after all of our library reading, we’re not sure when exactly tadpoles stop using their gills and rely solely on their lungs…hmmm.
