My niece passed her driver’s test earlier today.
I think we’ll meet on Friday to celebrate…hopefully I’ll see more of her now!

A shout-out to my friend Cindy who tries out (and passes on!) all these great photo tips and ideas! I took this photo with my iphone a couple of months ago…it’s been sitting on my phone’s camera roll. Cindy recommended this “shake-it” app – LOVE it!

He had just arrived home from school.
He headed inside briefly and then reappeared through the front door with something in his hand. He was trying to hide it, but with a brief glance I realized he had the kitchen shears.
He was a blur as he ran past me.
Don’t run with scissors! was on my lips. I bit my tongue.
He headed for the newly opened tulips that line our driveway.
Within a few seconds he was back to me.
For you, mom. Then he ran back inside.

So I waited ’til the last minute and then could not find the photo I wanted for today’s blog. Well, this is the photo, but not scanned from the original, so it’s not in color and not very clear. But it is one of my favorites of my mom and I.
