My sweet wake-up

I arrived home last night, too late to see my boys.
Early this am, my eldest came into my room to say good morning. When he saw that I was semi-coherent, he crawled into bed and began to recap all the weekend activities and any upcoming events I might not know about. He was all smiles and so eager to fill me in (he even held my hand – I loved it!). After about 10 minutes, my youngest came in and added his 2 cents.
I heard about
found octopus used for bait,
pile perch caught,
one poor pile perch almost completely dispatched by the dog,
movies watched,
an upcoming Mariners game,
and so much more.
I have lots of trip photos to post – soon!

Leaving on a jet plane

I’m flying out this am for the east coast. I’ll be visiting family and attending a cousin’s wedding reception. If I can post a few blogs I will; otherwise it will probably be a week before I resurface on the web.

I met with a friend in the am on Friday. We usually meet once a month and I so look forward to our time together. She is a huge blessing to me!
While I was on my way to meet her, I got a text from Carrie saying that she and Rylan could come for a visit that afternoon. And when I arrived home to wait for them, I got a text from my niece, Katelyn, asking me what I was doing, so she came over too!

We’ve had two sick days (as in home-from-school days) so far this week. This means we’ve been home all day long for 2 days.
