Enjoying summer

We had a great time this past week as we enjoyed a visit from vacationing friends. We went to the zoo, to the beach, even the movies. We loved just being with them.
My eldest left for camp on Sunday.
It was a bit difficult for him to leave as our friends were still in town…and, as he sat on the bus, I think he realized he might possibly miss us. I don’t think he’s missing us much now, but we sure are missing him!
My youngest and I went to get a few items at the store yesterday morning, and I was completely caught off-guard by school supplies front-and-center. Ugh!! It’s not even August! I am refusing to entertain such thoughts!
