I went to their house first, and having met mom previously, was introduced to the boys, dad, and Orbit (the dog).  It’s always nice to meet kids on their turf, where they are comfortable and hopefully more open to interacting with a stranger (especially one that comes with a camera!).  To warm-up a bit before we set off on our planned adventure, we took a few photos on their front steps.

This family filled out my questionnaire in preparation for our time together and mom wrote that her eldest “has an aversion to getting his picture taken.”

His brother not so much.

With dad’s help, we shifted the focus away from my camera and began talking about slivers (and looking for a recent one).

I took this photo during the sliver hunt and knew this session would be all good with a little misdirection and a whole lot of fun!

The pinata finally needed a bit of help to spill its spoils.
